It has been almost three months since we landed and it has been a whirlwind.
Roisin and I were a bit reticent about setting our “baby” free and seeing how the world would react to it. We didn’t need to worry. We got a super reaction – from the market we did in Airfield to interactions on Facebook and Instagram, our baby was warmly welcomed. Within two hours on our first day at Airfield Festival of Food we were approached by SuperValu Churchtown and Mount Merrion here in Dublin who wanted us on their shelves.
Now less than three months later we are stocked in those two SuperValu shops with not only our party packs of 12 and 20 but also with our napkins, cups, birch cutlery and lovely colourful paper straws all packed individually for more choice.
We are continuing to rise slowly but surely and are grateful to all our customers, fellow small business owners, family and friends for their continued support.
We will be doing some blog posts in the coming weeks to help you through the party season without relying on single use plastics. It isn’t easy to choose plastic-free but it is possible.
I am sure by now most of you have seen that poor whale who was washed up on the beach in Indonesia with no less than 1,000 pieces of plastic in his stomach. It is truly horrific but reinforces those baby steps that we take each day to try and have less plastic in the world.
As always, we welcome any feedback you might have. Please interact with us and tell us how we are doing.
Love your party one planet at a time and #beplanetsustie
